The Effects of Multiple Sclerosis on Your Body
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, often unpredictable autoimmune disease of the central nervous system—the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. The immune system mistakenly attacks myelin, the protective sheath covering nerve fibers, creating scar tissue (lesions) that disrupts signals between the brain and body. Symptoms vary widely but commonly include fatigue, numbness, vision problems, and mobility issues.
This auto-immune disease is very often misdiagnosed but with my platform and the @honeycombhaven_foundation I hope to spread awareness and help those in need of treatment.
