Bronze at road nationals in front of a home crowd, a day I’ll never forget 🥹
The early break of 5 established at the start of lap 2 of 8, and after I saw who was in it I knew I needed to be there. I hadn’t planned on it, but @michaelfreiberg told me to ride on ✨vibes✨ so that’s what I did.
The crowds and cheering each lap up Malcolm Street and into Kings Park were unbelievable. To each and every one of you that came and cheered for me, thank you. It was absolutely INSANE 😨
I’ll always be left wishing for more, but I’m so happy to be on the podium and so proud of the Perth cycling community for making this event so special 🥰

This race means so much to me, and today was nothing short of epic in so many ways ❤️🔥
It was the first time I really took a race on and put everything on the line for the win. I raced my heart out and kept the belief all the way to the end. A lot of solo time out there today but sometimes that’s the way the cards fall. To be caught so close to the finish was pretty gutting but I’m so proud of my ride and pushed myself beyond anything I have before. Big kudos to @tiffanycromwell for coming back for the win, always a classy bike racer 👊🏽

Everyone has a story at @thetraka and that’s what makes this crazy week so special 🥹
For me, a 200km race remains pretty daunting and I’m still trying to figure out what I can and can’t do in a race this long. Follow the front group until I blow, or pace it well but never regain the losses… a conundrum for now 🫣
Honestly really proud of my ride in itself and for pushing through, although the results sheet makes me question it. My lower back and left leg started giving me grief from the get go, but 3 hours and probably too many paracetamols in I found my groove and a little group of 3. We worked well together all day, moving through the field and holding onto some morale, thank you ladies 🫶🏽💃🏽
Rather than dwelling on any disappointment I’ll take the positives - solid fuelling and tummy held up, big improvements technically, a very consistent 7.5hrs without falling apart, and MANY lessons learnt 🫡
