Weāre happy to share a sneak peek into some of the incredible submissions for Clementine Issue 02. Ritual 01 is a powerful poem by Casper Orr titled āA Reverse-Bucket List (Now That I Want to Live). Orr offers a deeply personal reflection:
The title of this piece was inspired by my journey with my mental health struggle and, subsequently, reflects how far Iāve come. āa reverse-bucket listā is a list of small and silly moments and actions that I feel make life worthwhile and meaningful. The concept of the āreverse-bucket listā flips the idea of a set list of (typically) very big goals to complete before one dies by focusing on living in the present moment and living life to the fullest. By avoiding massive goals, I avoid the constant and lifelong yearning for these somewhat unrealistic goals. I donāt know if I have tomorrow. None of us do. We cannot live our lives expecting to have tomorrow when it isnāt promised. We have today and should live it how we desire, no matter how small and insignificant these desires may seem. I believe that this piece is both a lifelong ritual of meeting these silly goals, but I also see it as a ritual in my day-to-day life as a constant reminder to live life in the present moment. Clementine Issue 02 is on its way from the printer so keep an eye out to read the actual poem. #ritual #prompt #continuingtheconversation #proposition02 #clementinejournal #future #past #perspective #journal #life #curiosity #creativity #moments #stories #writing #objective #ideas #gratitude
