Happy Spring!
Today is the day! Maggie and I took advantage of this beautiful, sunny day to paint outside for our first art making session of the marathon. Thank you again to those of you who have sponsored us by making a generous donation to CASP.

Comments:
Sometimes painting is a perfect distraction to life. Setting up outdoors, one can get lost in the process of creation, and everything else seems to fade for a time. These two paintings complement each other nicely, as they are painted from opposing sides of our barn. Light and dark. Sun and shade. We hope you like them!
Love,
Drew and Maggie

We've raised over $30,000 so far in support of our asylum seeking neighbors! 🎉
As we enter into the final stretch of the April Arts Marathon fundraiser, folks are still invited to join by donating any amount to @casp.vt ! New sponsors will receive a link to an archive of artists' work from throughout the month (in addition to remaining art shares), and all proceeds will go directly towards meeting the basic needs of asylum seekers as they face the unprecedented challenges of our current times...
Help us reach our goal of $50,000, consider becoming a sponsor, and share this post to spread the word! ❤️
Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed already, participated as an artist, and otherwise been following along!

Welcome to day one of the @casp.vt April Art Marathon!
This year, I’ll be creating paper cut illustrations of migratory animals in Vermont. Our first subject is the Canada Goose. I started by sketching the design digitally in Procreate, then printed and assembled my “blueprint.” Excited to begin cutting!
Please consider donating at any point during the month!

The April Arts Marathon is the Community Asylum Seekers Project’s key fundraiser. CASP hopes to raise $50,000 this year. With all the uncertainty around the new administration, one thing we know for sure is that people who are experiencing violence and terror in their home countries will continue to seek asylum in this country. Sponsors like you are critical to CASP’s ability to accompany asylum seekers who, against all odds, continue to strive for a life of dignity and independence. Every donation directly supports our mission of cultivating a supportive community for asylum seekers in Southern Vermont.
