CLEVELAND- OUR ONLY HOMETOWN SHOW FOR AWHILE….
We will be presenting a lot of our new material that we are ever so eager to show you🩸
We’re also bringing you a taste of the death metal kings in @dying.remains hailing all the way from CANADA.
And of course; our dearest’s friends in @ovenheadband and @casketsplinterband to form this into a crazy night of metal😈
TOMORROW AT BROTHER'S LOUNGE WITH MR. BEAST DEATH 2030 AND THE EERIES.
Also reminder if you want to be cool our album Nuclear Shadows is up on Bandcamp and doing some crazy ass numbers right now (!!!) so if you want to pry yourself from the blood soaked hands of Spotify and all other evil streaming services stealing from the working artists in the world, you can listen on there for free, even the ambient albums I made under that name in high school. We have our merch and physical copies of Nuclear Shadows on tape there as well as at the show tomorrow so get one. Another cool show announcement coming soon.
LAST MINUTE CASKET SPLINTER GIG NEXT WEEK
Wednesday at Brother's Lounge with The Eeries and the great and wonderful Mr. Beast Death 2030. Things will be evil and villainous. 10 bucks at 8 PM. be there.
Two sick shows coming up, this Friday we're at Preserving Underground with Fórn and Insect Ark, first out of state show for Casket Splinter and really excited about it, and July 12th we're playing our first headlining show at The Cherry Pit in Cleveland. DM me or the band account for the address.
Casket Splinter studio album #1 is in the books. I'm really going to take my time post-recording to make sure this is done right and that the finished product is what I want it to be but it will be out at some point.
Huge shout out to Mr. Assault @dylan.andras for recording this and dealing with me for a whole weekend and to all of the people who played on it. It's wild how this band started as a complete throwaway for fun one night as a last minute replacement on a show and transformed into something I'm really putting every bit of my heart and soul into. No compromises, no consideration, no business, all for the art.
We've got some sick shows coming up, some I can't announce yet, but on June 27th we're playing our first out of town show in Pittsburgh at Preserving Underground with Fórn and Insect Ark which I'm really excited about.
Also got to see Horse the Band on Saturday after a long day of recording and it was magic and something I really needed.
@fornofficial and @insectark are touring through and we matched them up with @casketsplinterband from Cleveland and @preservingrecordshop 's own @barren_plains_pa .
Many customers from the shop love talking Black Metal, Doom and Industrial with Dave so come check out and support his musical project that he drums for (and also doesn't play out too often).
Nuclear Shadows is now out on all streaming platforms, including Bandcamp, alongside tapes and some leftover shirts on Bandcamp as well. Link in my bio for that.
After almost 5 years it feels so good to put some music out as Casket Splinter again and this new incarnation of the project has me feeling great. To anyone who decides to check it out I greatly appreciate you. Some more shows coming soon as well. Hope everyone has a good day.
NUCLEAR SHADOWS JANUARY 31ST
So happy to finally announce this album, the first of this new incarnation of Casket Splinter. "Nuclear Shadows" is a 30 minute, fully improvised piece recorded live at Wall Street Coffee Co. in Jefferson, Ohio. If you like long-form heavy music like Boris, Sumac, Sunn O))), Earth, Jesu or The Angelic Process, please check this album out. We'll have cassettes and album cover shirts available on my Bandcamp page soon as well. If you want a sneak peek at what might be in store with this album, come check us out at CODA on December 20th w/ The Brakes, The Daze and Echoes on Water
Larry Johnson - Bass
Grady Wessollek - Drums
Gavin Coe - Guitar
Luke Pernici - Guitar
Basil Johnson - Slide Guitar & Auxiliary Percussion
There's nothing I love more than ruining perfectly good gigs with some awful noise and I'm so glad I get one more chance this year! Come catch Casket Splinter opening for The Brakes, The Daze and our new friends Echoes on Water at @coda_tremont . Tickets are $10 and we're on first at 8:30.
Would also like to take this time to announce that the first album for this incarnation of Casket Splinter is coming out next month, more details very soon on that
