Sadly, we received some very heartbreaking 💔 news yesterday that Veteran Actor Donald Gibb passed away at age 71. Gibb was best known for his roles in films like “Bloodsport” & “Revenge of the Nerds”, but to the skateboard community, he was Jimmy Wilson’s Scarred up Security Guard in the movie “GRIND”. No matter what role he played, his goal was to always make people laugh and he never failed. Always delivering iconic lines that we still remember today including… “That’s A Big NO On Jimmy!!”. What’s most heartbreaking is that we won’t get to see Gibb reprise his role for the upcoming “GRIND 2” film. But what we can do is honor his memory every opportunity we get moving forward and that’s exactly what we’re gonna do. Thank you Donald for giving us so many laughs and special memories that we will remember forever. “Don Gibb was a legend — but more than that, he was a beautiful human being. I had the honor of casting him in GRIND, and from the moment he stepped onto set, he brought this incredible warmth, humor, and presence. He was truly a gentle giant who brightened every room, every scene, and everyone lucky enough to work with him. The latest addition to the “Grind” movie 🎬 sequel has been confirmed by the man himself… Paul Rodriguez ( @prod ). Paul just announced, after speaking to “Grind” Writer / Director @caseylascala , that “Grind 2” is not only in the works but Paul will officially be returning for the sequel. In case you forgot, Paul played one of the competition skaters in the Final Demo montage of the film and was still a teenager at the time he shot it. However based on this video, it sounds like Paul will be having a much bigger role this time around… We Hope 🤞. Of all the skaters in the world to have attached to this project, we couldn’t be more excited that it’s P-ROD!! The rumors about the “Grind 2” movie 🎬 have officially reached the ears👂of Ryan Sheckler ( @shecks ) who just announced his interest in reprising his role for the long awaited sequel in a video sent directly to Writer / Director @caseylascala ✍️. Ryan was only 12 years old when he made his memorable cameo in the 2003 cult classic skateboarding movie “Grind”. Now over 23 years later, with a sequel on the horizon, the skateboarding legend talks about how much fun he had filming the first time around and his interest in “getting back in the 2nd one”. After @bam__margera ‘s initial video saying that he also wants to return for the sequel along side guys like @shecks and @tomgreen : we may have the entire original cast return for “Grind 2”. Ever since we announced that “GRIND 2” 🎬 is officially in the works, rumors have been flying around like crazy about who is gonna return for the anticipated sequel. But probably the biggest question we keep getting asked is… “Will @bam__margera come back??” Well, based on the latest video he sent to “Grind” director @caseylascala , it sounds like BAM IS 100% on board to reprise his classic role alongside lead actor @realmikevogel (A.K.A. Eric Rivers). But he has 1 or 2 conditions: He wants skate legends @shecks & @briansumner to return as well as bringing the Goat 🐐 @prod in on the fun (which is something we can all get behind).
