The self-inflicted one-ring-a-day challenge comes to an end! Didn‘t quite make it but still: 27 rings made in 30 days. 25 sold, two still available (for now). Should I keep this going in May?

cast-in-place rings used to intimidate me. now it’s one of my favorite things to make. there’s something meditative about the process. would you wear it? #Jewelry #Handmade #Gold #Castinplace

I spent my day filing taxes, feeding money into a government that has shipped around €500 million in weapons to Israel since October 2023. Then I came home and opened Instagram to see my friends posting stories from their balconies in Lebanon, being bombed indiscriminately from all sides. Some of my roots are in the region, I’ve traveled the whole country more than once. I ate fish in a small seaside restaurant in Tyre, visited the temples in Baalbek, walked through ancient alleyways and courtyards in Tripoli, sat by the beach in Byblos, partied in Beirut. These are real places full of real people and they are being destroyed by a terrorist state. First Gaza, now Lebanon. And this is not a rogue government acting against the will of its people. 82% of Israelis support the forced expulsion of Palestinians. 76% say there are no innocent people in Gaza. Nearly three quarters believe Palestinians have no right to a state. This is a society that has made its position clear. If you support Israel, I don’t want your money, your follow, or anything to do with you. You people make me sick.

From left to right: ring I finished yesterday, limited outdoor activity, proof of life. Will this winter ever end?

I’ve been wanting to share more, but it’s been hard to show up with everything happening in our dystopian world. At times it just doesn’t feel right. But I’m still here, still locked in. And I’m learning that we can acknowledge the heaviness while still appreciating the small things that bring us joy.

A custom, solid 18k yellow gold ring before and after. It weighs around 15g. 😳 the casting is easy but the sanding and polishing really takes time.. Happy with the result! What do you think?

This ring has been a constant - understated, solid 18k gold, handmade with care. I’ve made many, but each one still feels special. I know I’ve been sharing a lot less lately, but there’s more happening behind the scenes. Just taking my time while I figure out my next steps. Thanks for being here for it. Are we okay with slow and steady? 😉
