We visited our friend and luthier, Andy Crockett. Andy built an archtop for the great Jim Mullen—an instrument I had designed with him. During the visit, he tried out our JS Standard, which was inspired by a 1961 SG Standard he had owned as a teenager—an instrument that had left a lasting impression on me. Andy put the JS Standard through his Supro combo and loved it.
