In mid-2004 we opened CARZ to offer AWD dyno service, Performance Parts Sales & Installation to the community. The business hit a peak around 2018 thru 2023 however since then it has steadily declined while business costs have soared. The brick & mortar business is not what it used to be. Consumers would rather turn to the internet for advice and let’s face it, not all of it is good and can be mis-leading. We would often give out great recipes for our customers’ power goals then learn they would go buy parts from online retailers who sell them for pennies over cost which is destroying this industry. We strived to carry an excellent inventory for the community however just can't compete with eCommerece market and keep the lights on and doors open at the same time.
As most of you know we have always wanted to expand CARZ and move to another location in attempt to grow the business. Lately I have come to accept the fact that the owner (not Lucas btw) is not interested in growing the business so the only option that we agreed upon was to close the business.
While we are not open for regular business anymore we still have an extensive amount of inventory and engines to sell off over the next few months. Lol As we come to a end of this week to start the Labor Day weekend, we had the honor to do a timing belt service on this immaculate 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. It's honestly one of the cleanest examples of this platform that we got to see and work on. So lets add a little game to this post.

There have been literally a 1000 of 4G63's that have come through the shop over the past 20 years however this particular one we built specifically for the streets (of Mexico) to be a full wet iron block that you can drive to the track, drive in rush hour stop n go traffic or head to the airport for a 1/2 mile event. This longtime customer challenged us for the task and we delivered him a 1000whp Evo that he desired. All custom fabrication done in house by @lracer28 , wired up by @isam.907 with @haltech Elite 2500 and engine assembly by @boostinhuey . Enjoy @evolmr9 !

This motor will also be sporting a @platinumracingproducts cam/crank trigger kit that'll be hooked up to a @haltech Elite2500 through a @wiringspecialties stock replacement harness.

It’s been awhile since we posted. Truth of it is we have been so damn busy building, tuning, wiring, fabricating, measuring & selling parts to our customers that we just simply have not had time to keep up with social media. Not all RB blocks are created equal... If your looking to make big power and want to take the proper steps to make the block stronger than you must take the time to properly machine the block. It also takes a competent machinist and a reliable, repeatable machine to do the job. We only trust our good friends at @madcapracingengines to perform all of our machine work. This particular RB26 N1 block will be utilizing a @platinumracingproducts lower block brace. Stay tuned for more progress pics of this awesome build for one of our loyal customers!
