Diary: The Journey of The Original 333 - Faded Indigo
The Original 333 - Faded Indigo begins in the cotton fields of Louisiana, where the finest cotton is harvested. From there, it travels to Georgia, where the yarns are carefully spun and dyed a rich indigo. This unique blend of natural warp and indigo weft creates the distinctive, beautiful denim that we all love.
The denim rolls then make their way to Los Angeles, where skilled hands cut and sew each pair of jeans. At the wash house, artisans bring out the character of each pair through meticulous hand-distressing and stone washing, ensuring no two pairs are exactly alike.
These jeans are not just another product ordered from overseas; they are a piece of American craftsmanship, made with pride and integrity at every step. I’m honored to produce them the right way, preserving a timeless craft that’s deeply rooted in our history.

The Carpenter 333 - Spazzolato Black
Photos from my diary - The process of making calfskin pants in my studio starts with skins that I import from a small town in Italy called Solofra. The tannery has been making calf and lamb skins the same way for many generations. We then start by placing the pattern pieces on the skins to maximize use of the hide and also to cut around any blemishes. After that each panel is painstakingly glued by hand and single needle tailored to finish. Every pair is lined with bemberg shorts and riveted with polished nickel then sent wrapped in glassine paper. Custom order only via dm*
