I just completed the Continental Divide Trail and claimed my triple crown!! (hiking the big three in a lifetime) I’m flying out to Washington to start the PCT (for my second time) to see if I can get a “Calendar-Year” Triple Crown Brain and body are good to go and I’m excited to push myself on the trail that started it all for me (and my favorite of the three) I really enjoyed the CDT!! The trail goes through some incredible places that were mostly all new to me. It was wonderful to have company for half of the trail and to be able to share some of these views. Thanks for hiking with me @bellcait and @alexmiller3333 and thank you Cait for helping me get to the Canadian border not once but twice! Unlike the other two trails, the CDT has a ton of route options to choose from and your mileage will vary. For the sake of the larger goal I mostly opted for the shorter alternates and cutoffs (Big Sky, Grand Lake, Creede, etc) and my mileage came out to 2289 Here is me at the Cirque of the Towers, my favorite spot on the trail (along with some other moments since Glacier) CYTC mile 4487 of 7142 Two down One to go!! #calendaryeartriplecrown #continentaldividetrail
