In case you missed it, last week the Sound Cut of my film Night of The Living/Dead was finally released to the public (Link in bio). I wanted to take this occasion to once again thank all of the people involved in the film. We had a wonderful lead cast with @darius_sakui and @corryn_guts , supported by @nico.fiery . We had a great group of extras show up to help me out, @clarapfundt@journey.guy@klekaelly@bradburn_@ewing_bee . And last but certainly not least, the incredible crew @goghpoe@averybeutel@hannahmblessin@film.king.101@ian.406@dastardlymortal@sam.d.larson . I recently made a Behind The Scenes Documentary from the footage gathered by these wonderful people on set (link also in bio), and just wanted to share their pleasant and hard working atmosphere with all of you. If you’re looking for people to work on your projects, these are the people you’re gonna want to work with. Thanks again to everyone listed here, and everyone not listed here for making the film what it was!
Oh also special thanks to @aus_hay and the now illusive Cinemythology Podcast for their conversation which inspired the film.
We are proud to announce the “Night of the Living Dead” is officially releasing on YouTube January 19th! If you love zombies and movies shot on film then this is the film for you!
Figured I’d post a little preview for the new year. This is another project I’ve been working on for almost a year, hope you dig the teaser. Special thanks to @dakotavinhdao
I made another 3 minute Documentary. I brought my 16mm Bolex to the Rage Room back in June with some friends, the film finally came back. Nolan Wilson did the music, @dakotavinhdao helped produce it, and @sonny_ou helped shoot it. Check it out! Link in bio!
Another surprise film dropping today! I wrote a celluloid love letter to the town I grew up in, North Bend. Check it out when you get a chance, @aidenndrake made a really lovely score for it, I think you’ll find it feels a lot like home no matter where you’re from.
Out now on YouTube. Link in bio
Tomorrow at 12pm pacific standard time on the Bolt’s Films YouTube page, a silent cut of the film will finally be released.
Strap in folks. Link in bio
About a week ago I released a short film that’s almost three years in the making. It’s some of my best work with editing and sound design, and a surreal combination of the two. If you haven’t checked it out yet and are into that kinda experimental film stuff, id appreciate it if you checked it out! (It’s the top link in my bio)

Around the same time I begun prepping for the Night of The Living/Dead shoot I decided to remake my senior thesis film here in North Bend. I managed to make a silent version before I dove head first into NoTL/D, but something (other than the sound) was missing. After finishing NoTL/D I decided to shoot even more footage and edit that into the film. I began doing sound work and eventually ended up with what you’re seeing now. The full film is finally available on YouTube, it’s about 10 minutes long, and I’d really appreciate if you check it out and share it with anyone you think may be interested in it.
Have a good one everybody.

Almost three years ago I started working on my senior thesis film. It started as a philosophy inspired experimental short about Montana and the political undertones echoing around the town of Bozeman. At the end of that school year when the film was processed and sent back to me, it was 6 minutes of completely unusable underexposed footage that might not have even been recording. Something had gone wrong either in the super 8 camera mechanism itself, while it was being processed, or while it was being shipped to the processor. A third roll of three minutes was also a dud cartridge that had been spooled the wrong way in factory. My nine minutes of footage that would have been edited into my senior thesis film. Nothing was usable, I was still able to get my degree, but I had nothing to show for my senior year of efforts.
Six months after that I took every frame of film from the 6 minutes I got back that had an artifact or anything remotely visible once any possible information was digitally squeezed out of the film. The film is known as Karma, and now features as the first minute in Void Horizon, a remake of the original concept in North Bend Washington rather than Bozeman Montana.
The video above is a full frame version of the finished film (with sound) available exclusively here. In Void Horizon it is cropped in with a focus on film grain itself in an attempt to get the most movement out of the minute long “shot”.
If you haven’t seen yet, we’re premiering at the North Bend Theater alongside Scarlett Wilds and Tear in The Void on January 3rd, this upcoming Wednesday. Hope to see ya there!
