I compared the iPhone 16 and Osmo Pocket 3 at Arches National Park.
Shooting in D-Log M at 10-bit made the Pocket 3 footage look more cinematic and more dreamy, especially in the reds, highlights, and textures of the rocks.
The iPhone 16 is still super convenient, but using the Pocket 3 as a dedicated vlogging camera gave me more flexibility in post and a softer, more cinematic result overall.

I took the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 & the GoPro Hero 13 out for a real world side by side test. Same spot. Same settings.
Here is what stood out:
- Pocket 3 handled low light way better
- Colors looked more natural and balanced
- Stabilization felt smoother and more controlled
- Lock on tracking kept me centered the whole time
The GoPro still works great for action, but the gimbal on the Pocket 3 made shooting cinematic clips so much easier with this vlogging camera.

DJI Osmo 360 vs Insta360 X5 (Side-by-side test)
Both cameras were shot on 8k 30fps and all footage is straight out of the camera for a true comparison.
In my opinion, the Osmo 360 has better dynamic range, the highlights aren’t blown out and the shadows keep their detail.
