L’exposition « Elizabeth II : Her life in style », ouvre ses portes ce 10 avril jusqu’au 18 octobre et regroupe plus de 300 pièces ayant appartenu à la défunte reine. What a pleasure to have a sneak preview of Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, the new exhibition that opens this week at the King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.
The largest exhibition of the late Queen’s fashion opens on Friday to celebrate the centenary of her birth (she would have turned 100 on April 21).
It includes more than 300 items, half of which have never been displayed before.
From Her late Majesty’s famous headscarf collection to the dresses she and her stunt double wore for the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony, it’s all there.
Curator @caroline.de.g has published a book to coincide with the @royalcollectiontrust exhibition, which is well worth a look.
Surprising to find out that while the late Queen liked practical outfits, she was much more of a fashionista than many appreciated.
And with her many foreign visits, she perfected the art of diplomatic dressing.
