Hey friend, my name is Carl D. Wright. 👋🏽
At my core, I’m a follower of Jesus. Everything in my life flows from that, not perfectly, but intentionally. My life was marked by an encounter with God at 16, and ever since, my mission has been simple: To KNOW Jesus… and to make Him known. ✝️
I’m a husband to an amazing wife (THEE Dr. Cassandra Wright ❤️) and a father to three incredible kids (Zion, Ezra, and Aniyah). My family is one of my greatest joys and most important assignments.
I have the honor of serving as the Executive Pastor at Hope City in Columbus, Ohio, where I get to serve alongside some incredible people and help lead an amazing church family (I know… I’m a little biased lol).
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to preach, teach, and serve in many places and spaces - but my heart has stayed the same: to see people encounter Jesus in real ways and walk in real transformative freedom.
That same heart is what has led me to preaching, writing, and creating resources like The Work of the Soul and Foundations. My focus in all of it is simple:
Helping people grow in faith, understand the Word clearly, do the deep work of healing, and actually walk in freedom
I care deeply about truth, but even more about people actually living it out. Not hype. Not performance. Real transformation. 🔥

Had the chance to go visit with family for a few days. These moments are always deeply meaningful. ❤️💯🙌🏼 this life is short and filled swift transition, cherish your ppls while you can. Make the memories. Enjoy the moments. 🎉💯🙌🏼 the one thing we don’t get is more time, so pull as much out of it that you can.
Such a beautiful time celebrating my grandmother’s 90th birthday today with the Family! ❤️🎉💐
She has always been a pillar in our family, and to me personally, she has been a constant source of encouragement, strength, and hope.
I asked her, “After 90 years of life, what is the one message you want to leave with your family?”
Without hesitation and with great certainty, she answered:
“Talk to Jesus.”
She went on to stress the importance of prayer and the necessity of reading the Word of God every single day.
Ninety years of life, wisdom, joy, ups and downs, victories, and lessons…and her message was simple: Stay close to Jesus. 🙏🏽

Today we celebrate EIGHT YEARS of covenant! 🎉🙌🏻💯 Marriage has taught us so much over the last couple of years - not just how to love each other, but how to grow, communicate, and take ownership in ways we never had to before. There were cerently moments we didn’t think we would make it BUT GOD!
Through every high and low, we’ve learned that real covenant isn’t about perfection, it’s about commitment, humility, and choosing each other over and over again. More than anything, we’ve seen such a clear picture on how Christ has modeled His love for the Church to us - through grace, patience, sacrifice, and truth. It’s AMAZING grace! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Eight years and three children later we’re still learning, still growing and extremely grateful for a marriage that isn’t just surviving but is truly thriving. We are hopeful for the future and very excited for year 8 and looking forward to all the NEW BEGINNINGS this year will bring!
