There are few honors in my life greater than being called āMom.ā To
@michaelshellis and
@jade_shellis what a privilege it has been to love you, raise you, pray over you, celebrate you, cry over you, laugh with you, and watch you become who you are. The joy you have brought into my life is beyond anything words could ever fully describe.
Motherhood has been one of the deepest loves I have ever known. It has also been one of the deepest vulnerabilities. To love your children this much is to experience overwhelming joy, but also fear, sacrifice, stretching, heartbreak, and moments where your heart feels like it is walking around outside of your body.
And yet, I would choose it all again.
Today, while I celebrate my own journey as a mother, I also want to celebrate every mother reading this. The mothers who are tired, praying, grieving, healing, sacrificing, and holding homes and hearts together with love.
Please never underestimate your value.
The touch of a motherās heart shapes homes. Homes shape people. People shape generations. And generations shape communities and nations.
You are not ājust a mom.ā
You are a nurturer of humanity itself.
And to all the young women out there whom Iāve had the honor of āmotheringā through different seasons of life⦠I love you deeply. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having seven children. While God blessed me with two children that Iām completely obsessed with, He was kind enough to allow me to spiritually mother many more along the way. Thank you for trusting me, loving me, and allowing me to have a small place in your journey. Each one of you has left a fingerprint on my life.
Today I send a verbal standing ovation to mothers everywhere. I honor you, celebrate you, and hope you know how deeply valuable and loved you truly are.
Happy Motherās Day š¤
