*** SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT
Northern Lights
Starring two of Irelands biggest rising talents Louise Bourke and Carl Maher.
The Viking Theatre. February 16th - March 7th 2026
*
On a dark, wet night, Lloyd notices Áine standing alone on a bridge and, fearing the worst, decides to intervene. As secrets, confessions and pain unravel, the pair find in each other a fragile hope; a light shining through grief. What begins as an act of compassion becomes an exploration of loss, connection and unlikely redemption. Touching, raw and tender, Northern Lights is a portrait of two people seeking to heal, and finding that perhaps the greatest comfort lies in human connection.
The play premiered at Theatre Upstairs in 2018 and was nominated for the Irish Times Theatre Award for ‘Best New Play’. It was then adapted into a six part Television Series, produced by Deadpan Pictures and Lionsgate. It was nominated for 4 IFTA Awards.

Want to get in the Hallowe’en mood? SUMMERHILL will do just that. ‘A genuinely suspenseful thriller…a dark, demented, laugh out loud delight’ ★★★★★ - The Arts Review
‘ In Summerhill, Stephen Jones journeys down some twisted byways, serving up a suspenseful comedy as dark as it is delicious’. The Arts Review
From the writer of Northern Lights, comes a razor-sharp, pitch-black comedy about love, loneliness, and letting go.
Julian has lost twelve stone, gained a new lease on life—and maybe even found love with the mysterious Clara. But when his fiercely protective mother Bernie starts to suspect she’s losing her son to the outside world, things spiral into something far darker and more twisted than anyone bargained for.
