My friends have been doing introductions lately, and I realized I’ve never done a proper introduction before. I figured now is better than never:)
Hi! My name is Lauren Cargal, and I’m a photographer located out of Tulsa, Norman, and OKC.
I’ve been involved in the arts since I could walk, doing abstract painting and dance as a kid, and filmmaking in high school, but I have been photographing for about 5 years now. I have a huge heart for portraiture, as one of my biggest artistic motivations is to make the people I love feel beautiful. Whether it be simple senior photos, creative shoots, or documentary style portraiture, I have an absolute blast showcasing the beauty that God placed in His people. I also love shooting landscapes and architecture, but you’ll probably see that less on this account comparative to portraits!
Aside from photography, I love attending concerts, spending time with friends, being outdoors, going to Church, traveling, Garfield, and laughing at my own jokes. At the University of Oklahoma, I study International Security and Spanish—I know, polar opposite to creative media… ask me about it if you want:)—but I love photo just the same.
