We’re not free til we’re ALL free. This summer, CNC has been reflecting on our commitment to abolition and collective struggle. Together, we’ve drafted a new set of guidelines for coalition work, and an updated set of community agreements for us in CNC. We created these because we’ve been seeing and feeling how anti-Blackness goes unchecked in organizing spaces when abolition is not centered, harming our organizers and community. This harm has to be acknowledged as we work towards us ALL being free, as everyone’s safety, especially Black individuals’ safety, is pertinent. We reaffirm our commitment to abolition, to autonomy, and to caring for each other as we struggle for liberation. These guidelines will help us uphold that commitment as individuals and in coalitional spaces.
