We had the best time with @songsbyween at @thewonderbarofficial , absolutely melting my face 🌀🌀
Huge props to @davidanshots for getting these incredible shots of me and my love doing our favorite thing (being together) 💋💋
“The Day Can Be Good” is a new poem. I found it challenging and a little snarky. Pick it apart and let me know what it feels like under your nails.

I went to @hh_sanctuary with an offering in mind. To create a an ebbing and flowing expanse of energy healing, to practice reiki for these sweet being that have been through so much in their short lives. The golden girls seen here were abandoned, fattened with the intention of being eaten, and mistreated before they found a home in sanctuary. This offering does not erase what they have been through. It opens the pathways for new, more positive experiences to flow in and be known deep within the body.
The poem is titled “Dairy Farming.”
I see him walking toward me with slow, unfazed gait
Satisfied by what he sees around him
All the girls notice his coming, note it with apprehension’s sweet, nauseating upheaval of the cud
So we chew our teeth down with the waiting
It is the way he slides his hands across our backs, sometimes almost lovingly behind us where we cannot see which causes the clenching of our womanhood
It is the way he slips the elbow-length gloves on swiftly
There are many pains here, many frightful and seizing mornings
But not much is worse than this
All of us, bearing witness to our sisters’ abuses, each of us locking eyes with the others when our turn comes
If only we could look away
But our nature forbids it
Should I say it simply
If I did, could you even comprehend?
You’ve seen it, haven’t you, and done nothing?
When he is elbow deep in our bodies, not ever heeding our cries, our shame or our fear
I hope you stop pretending we don’t feel it
I hope you stop saying it’s worth it

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending some time at @hh_sanctuary to lend a hand cleaning coops and hanging with the amazing residents who call the sanctuary “home.” I also went with an offering in mind: creating a flowing, open, conductive space for healing through reiki.
I’ll be posting some videos from reiki sessions done with sweet Bruce, the Golden Girls, and tucked away Fay. I’m extremely grateful to Lindsey for allowing me to bring this practice to her residents, and for allowing the freedom one can feel in sanctuary. And the pups Mia and Maddie were very encouraging dance partners!
Reiki is becoming a huge part of my life and practice, and I’m excited to share what I learn and give along the way. Thank you to @antidote.aesthetic for MISSION and all we can learn through self-guided, fully online, stroking of the ego genius reiki!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

A selection of poetry collections I read between April 2025-January 2026, my favorites being The Rose by @arianareines , The Andrew Wyeth Chronicles by Janée Baugher, and Daphne by @noneconomist_ . They all capture the unspeakable, and write to the space where we cannot reach until we get there. Also Uma, plants, and an illustration in a small print edition of Slaughterhouse-Five.

I see the connections is everything here. The love it all comes from, and the especially the place of care, which is so important to my existence. I so grateful to the people and artistic expressions that gravitate toward me, signaling to me my place is this environment
It took me a long time to figure out practice and devotion; but the urge was buried and peaked through and pooled around my ankles and sucked me into it until I understood. And let flow touch me even when it felt small, uncool, impractical. My yoga Buddy, an early witness and supporter 🐈🧡 I’m so grateful there were so many loving souls who witnessed me and encouraged me, in fact devoted themselves, to accept nothing less than my full self 🌕🐯

Still thinking about how the trees move and change, and how they ever reflect how we should be moving and caring for our own vessels🌳
This poem was written in 2019, small edits made before posting 📝
Meditating on love and sharing this so there is simply more love moving around 〰️
