10 years ago today @birger_k released his uncut for the Cardistry-Con Championship. A legendary video that still holds up today 🎞️
This video was filmed by none other than @frankistea :
“when birger told me his vision of syncing the uncut to a song, i was totally committed to getting the perfect take. it ended up being a real long day of listening to this beat lol, we needed to start the song up again every time we filmed a new take! but it was so worth the eight hours of filming to get this incredible minute and a half clip”

Snippet from “GOTHENBURG SHUFFLE” by @noelheath | This video released 10 years ago today!
A word from @namesbiz who shot the video:
“I grew up visiting Noel almost every year since I was 15 or 16. We’d see each other at Magic Weekend Convention in Lund and then again some other time during the year. We filmed The G Shuffle on one of these second visits.
It was the first time I’ve ever filmed Noel. My fondest memory is of hearing the phrase “Can I see that?” from Noel after getting a good performance and then him watching the clip maybe 20 times before declaring if we’d reshoot it or not.
Good stuff. Miss that guy.”

“THAT ONE PART”, the debut video from @quentindugan released 5 years ago today. Some musings from @linuskschmidt :
“We had music on shuffle bumping out of a speaker as Quentin, Jorge, and myself all sat around on the floor trying to pick a song for That One Part. It was Q who pulled up ‘Lille Høg’ which was the artist we ended up using for that video, and as soon as we heard the tune we all knew that was it. We had never made a video like that before, the music was often selected during the first phase of the editing process. It speaks to how specific it is to work with Quentin. He is someone who knows what he wants with clarity, it’s one of many qualities I admire about him. During the process of filming, Jorge and I often got takes that blew us away, but Quentin was the first to suggest that we keep filming. For most of us, the perfect take is elusive, but for Q, it’s often within reach. It’s a video that was destined to happen, each step of the process unfolded precisely how it was meant to. Q has evolved and surpassed himself and who he was in that video, but it’ll always have a special place in our world.”
A word from jtra:
“Quentin didn’t want to post this but that’s tough luck lil bro”
