I was kindly invited down to @cardiffsaray to try out some traditional Turkish cuisine and I soon found myself in a food coma after trying so many amazing dishes 🤩.

I think i could have found one of the best Turkish cuisine restaurants in Cardiff or the best 🤩.
Everything was cooked to perfection from the starters right to the main platter. I tried so many different meats and everything was so so good 👍. I’ll name a couple things that were the standout for me.
The lamb chops were my favourite and cooked perfectly. They were so juicy and tender I wish I just had more of them.
The lamb ribs were very delicious too. Once I started eating them I couldn’t stop 🙈😂.
I must say the bread was very delicious and tasted so fresh which made the whole meal really perfect 👌.
I want to say about the salad too as it looked and tasted amazing. You really can see they take pride in every dish they do.
Overall the meal was fantastic and I loved everything that was on offer. I’m definitely gunna be going back for sure and trust me on this one you won’t be disappointed 🤙.

My favorite Turkish restaurant in Cardiff is @cardiffsaray . Whenever someone visits Cardiff, we suggest Saray. We ordered the cold mezze, lentil soup, and the mixed kofte plate, which comes with your choice of fries or rice. It's a great option if you don't want to share a platter, have a smaller appetite, and want to be budget-friendly. If you're dining with a large family, you can opt for the platter for four. They offer complimentary bread and sauces to start, and a lovely Turkish tea with baklava at the end.

Cardiff is full of such great food spots! We checked out Saray who serve up Turkish cuisine in a gorgeous setting. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious. The service is great. Everything is made fresh in house! The meat is juicy and the flavours are perfect.
I highly recommend this spot!

Tried Saray in Cardiff for dinner and it was a really good experience overall proper hearty Turkish food with generous portions and a few lovely touches that make it stand out.
Every customer is served a complimentary basket of naan bread with yogurt dip, chilli sauce, and marinated olives. The bread was warm and fluffy, straight from the oven, and the dips were a great mix of creamy, spicy, and tangy which was such a nice way to start the meal.
For mains, we went for the chicken shawarma and chicken shish, both served with rice, chips, and grilled veg. The shawarma was tender and full of flavour, while the chicken shish was perfectly grilled — juicy inside with a lovely smoky char on the outside. Everything came out fresh and piping hot.
There was a small mix-up with one of the shawarmas at first, but the team sorted it out straight away. The manager personally came over to apologise and check everything was okay, which was really nice to see!
At the end of the meal, they serve complimentary Turkish tea and baklava, which is such a thoughtful touch. The baklava was sweet and juicy, and the tea made the meal feel light and refreshing, a perfect finish after a filling dinner.
The service was friendly, the food was fresh and full of flavour, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a great spot if you’re after authentic Turkish food in town.
⭐ Rating: 5/5 even with the small order mix-up, they resolved it so quickly it only added to the positive experience.
Would I go again? 100% next time I’m trying the mixed grill!
