𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖌𝖔𝖆𝖙: Sholi top lot is here.
We've worked with the Sholi co-op since 2020. We visited this amazing female founded co-op in summer last year, where we cupped all the coffee lots to select the best, which have all been combined into this TOP LOT.
Why the goats? well, we wanted to award all the producers that had been selected. At the co-ops request, this was to be in the form of Goats. This year we awarded 80 goats to the winning producers!
This coffee is delicious and not to be missed. SHOP NOW.
We’re incredibly excited to be releasing the Top Lot from the Sholi washing station in Rwanda next week.
Sholi was founded by a small group of 20 to 30 female coffee farmers who came together to overcome a shared challenge: gaining access to markets beyond their local area. By organising themselves, they created new opportunities for their coffee and their community.
Today, Sholi has grown into a cooperative of thousands of members, including both men and women. Despite this growth, women continue to hold all senior leadership positions, guiding the direction of the co-op and its work.
Earlier this year, our team travelled to Rwanda on an origin trip and spent a week at Sholi with the producers and quality team. This photo, taken by Attila during that visit, shows women at Sholi hand sorting coffee, a careful stage of the process where beans are checked and selected by hand to ensure only the best make it through.
We’re proud to continue supporting women in coffee through partnerships like this.
