I absolutely loved everything about this session from start to finish!🥹🌱✨ This was taken right in my home studio. For my style, I have been wanting to go towards a more intimate editorial look when it comes to my studio work! With proper lighting this can all be achievable!🥹✨ when thinking of this concept, I thought of one word- ✨minimal✨ from color, to wardrobe, to posing, and lighting. I wanted this shoot to look as authentic as possible. - I used a two-light system for this shoot! And depending on how much shadow I wanted I use, I used a grid to control the light spilling on the subject.☺️😄✨ - For posing, I went for simple but intentional. I stirred away from the dance-like poses I usually do and wanted the subject’s aura to be the point of focus. And she did JUST that! ✨STRUCTURED GRACE✨ (1/3) - This April concept was brought to you by a @capturedbybriee x @alentures_media collaboration.🤍🖤 - This is our second collaboration together and we decided to go for something completely opposite from last month’s. This concept was built around intentional minimalism-nothing was loud or overdone, but every detail is carefully chosen to communicate power. There is a different kind of power in stillness- We kept everything simple on purpose so the mood, the light, and the subject could really speak for themselves.🌟✨ - Location wise we brought this vision to life at @photoloft.co , shooting in the Dark Loft—which was perfect because it echoed the mood, depth, and contrast of the story we wanted to tell. 🤍🖤 - Lighting wise- was very simple I used one strobe light!😄 The use of one strobe helped light the subject from the left side and allowed soft shadows to form on the other side. This helped create that moodiness and stillness we wanted to portray. - Editing-wise, I have been wanting to lean into a more controlled and balanced style when it comes to shadows, hues, and midtones. HAPPY KY DAY!😍🥳💗🤍💋✨ #Happy24 - This birthday photoshoot was definitely “one for the books!”✨🤍💗 from concept, to theme, to arrangements! I absolutely loved this shoot from start to finish🥹💗💖✨ - What I love most about this shoot was that each frame was about was about individuality—how each person shows up, expresses themselves, and owns their space.✨✨💗 From soft to bold, playful to powerful… no two stories looked the same. Alsooo- shout out to @isa.cannoli for taking Bri’s pictures- she was a STAR🤩📸✨ - My lighting setup involved one strobe light and one continuous back light to fill in any shadows at the bottom. This backdrop is different from my other ones as it is cloth so it is best to set it out a day before to ensure all the wrinkles come out.☺️💗✨ - Editing wise was different than my other shoots- the client suggested Y2K like edits- I increased effects like saturation and vibrancy to give it more color but balanced it out with some pink shadows to shape it into a more modern “Y2K.” On top of that, I added I a little bit of grain to tie that yearbook feel altogether🥹📚🤍✨ - I absolutely LOVED bringing this vision to life— it is Moments like this remind me why I what I do🥹✨ - April is almost gone! HAPPY NAKEERIA DAY!😍🥳🫧🩵🤍✨ #Happy25 - This was by far one of the most challenging yet creative shoots I’ve done.🥹✨ What I love about photography, is that there is no limit! You can work with however many lights, different staging, and customize it to what speaks to you. The song played a vital part in the inspiration🩵💙 and instead of burning she wanted the exact opposite- which was water! The use of ✨Mylar✨ really played a vital role in creating this illusion! - I used a 3-light system for this shoot!✨ I used one strobe, one continuous, and one rgb light. By shining the continuous light on to the ✨mylar✨ it creates the illusion of water waves which was exactly what she wanted!🥹🌊🫧✨ To tie it altogether, I used my RGB continuous light and set it to a shade similar to what is shown. We absolutely loved the illusion this system gave us when we put it altogether.💙🩵 - I absolutely enjoyed every aspect of this shoot and I can’t wait to use these techniques and more in my next shoots!🥹🥹🥳🩵💙🤍✨ - Do you have a vision you would want to see come to life? 🌱 Becoming Grace 🌱 - From start to finish, I loved everything about this shoot🥹🤍✨ - This vision was brought to life right in my home studio, and staged with plants alongside my client—each one was placed with intention to represent her journey in dance. From small beginnings to bold growth and it is only growing🌱✨ - Lighting-wise, I kept it simple but intentional: one strobe and one continuous light to shape that soft, glowing look while still giving depth and dimension. - This was definitely one of the most fun and collaborative shoots I’ve done.
