On Monday I went to get my polaroids updated with a photographer and during the session I realised that despite being in the industry for 2 years I still donât have a proper grasp at all my angles on a whim. This was funny to me because youâd think that after all this time iâd have some sort of masteryâŠright? It kinda reminds me of when people ask me to start posing when a camera is thrown in my face and when I tell them I canât they get surprised when I tell them I kind of have to turn the switch on so that iâm mentally prepared to give a performance of sorts. Naturally I am fully capable of course so itâs not that I canât per se, itâs more so I have to jump into character and unless I am previously mentally prepared I probably wonât give my best performance. Even still, after Monday I realised how much more of this performance I have to work on as I still feel kind of stiff in some ways which is okay, awareness is the first step followed by action so that one can change. 2026 iâll bridge the gap between slight awkwardness and full asserted confidence one step at a time, Rome was not built in one day after all.
