Posting a little later than planned, but a massive thank you to everyone who helped us to raise €7279.50 for Connections Collective and The Gaza Scholars Fund at Voices for Palestine! (We had a few more donations after the night so delighted to say our original final tally increased a little) So many words for the evening and even with time to sit and process what a special night it was, I still haven’t found the right words, but I’ll try sum it up - Grateful, Proud, Inspired, Motivated, Grá - I could write so much about every single person involved and who came, but as we all get ready for Christmas, let me keep it short! Massive thank you to our incredible performers, everyone who bought a ticket and came (your energy was electric), everyone who donated, the staff and crew at @thesugarclub (special shout out to Elise on sound), and the amazing volunteers with @queers_for_palestine_ireland A special mention and moment of gratitude to @captainjessplease and @seamusclancy66 for their incredible energy, efforts, skills and for constantly showing up and doing what needed to be done to make the evening what it was. Thank you 💚 Proud of what we all achieved, but aware we are a drop in the ocean and there is so much more that is needed to be done for Palestine! Let’s keep Palestine in our hearts and thoughts during this holiday period and keep finding ways to support and show up in whatever way we can! Delighted to be co-producing this event alongside the powerhouse @captainjessplease , with @seamusclancy66 and all his magic marketing and PR-ing, supported by the amazing @queers_for_palestine_ireland for two extremely important initiatives, raising funds for Palestine, who we will continue to stand with! *** Voices for Palestine 🇵🇸 is a festive variety showcase supported by Queers for Palestine featuring music, comedy, spoken word, and cabaret, raising vital funds for Connections Collective and Gaza Scholar Fund Voices for Palestine brings together an exciting line-up of performers and artists for a festive variety showcase, using their voices, platforms, and talents to raise essential funds and awareness. Expect festive songs, celebration, community, and collective impact. Join us as we come together in solidarity, turning joy and creativity into meaningful support for those who need it most. All proceeds will support two vital initiatives: Connections Collective matches individuals or groups with verified families in Gaza who are in immediate need. The goal is to mobilise people’s communities to support this one connection through donations and amplification. The Gaza Scholar Fund raises financial support to help students from Gaza study in Ireland, investing in education and the leaders of tomorrow. Saw @selfesteemselfesteem last night in the @3olympiatheatre Dublin with @tea_though and the show was so incredible. The raw talent combined with the staging and choreography just made this show something really special and beyond. I was expecting a good gig but I was blown away. Highly recommend seeing this show live.
