🥷 A handful of minifigs created using some of my favorite new Ninjago elements from the Jan 1st 2026 release - which I had the privilege of reviewing for @brothersbrickofficial
Pic 1 - A molten Earth Monster/scorpion hybrid and a desert wondering ronin.
The scorpion is using most of the new Earth Monster pieces, including those awesome pincer accessories, while the ronin uses Cole's updated ZX torso and the conical straw hat found on the new Mutation Monsters.
Pic 2 - A slime-themed undead creature with slime minions.
Using parts from Ninjago's new Mutation Monsters, some of my favorite trans-bright green effect pieces, and I just cannot resist using Z-Blobs as slime creatures.
Pic 3 - Dragon Form Samurai X and a lightening elemental villain.
If only Dragon Form exsisted in 2011! These figs use both the updated Samurai X and the new Jay's Mother minifig parts from "Character Display Set" 71866, along with the wings, shoulder armor and tail from Ninjago's new Dragon Form.

I had an entirely different gear-driven mechanism in mind for the moving foliage, but when I found myself deciphering schematics on engineering forums my attention span didn't let me 🤷♂️

Dungeon 1 - 2 - The Fetid Wasteways
Once the rot-plagued corpse of an ancient warrior, long forgotten and drowned by festering sewage deep within a collapsed crypt... until the Lich Cult's tainted waters seeped into the stagnant sludge surrounding it. The corpse's water-bloated skin absorbed it like a sponge.
Gurgling and oozing, the mutating body now roams the tunnels, drawn to pools of the necromantic runoff off and scavenging discarded potion vials, spawning new abominations as it swells and ruptures and splits.

🐺 Bandit - both his name and occupation. He roams the roads that pass through the forest not far from town, commandeering equipment and goods from unexpecting travelers to supply to the wolfpack, who's hideout is deeper into the woods.
I finally got some @minifigrealms pieces, since US shipping has opened back up 🙏 and I'm very pleasantly surprised with the quality and material of everything. I have 6 LAYERS AND A BANDANA under his head, with plenty of neck peg left. My other capes could never.
The capes are more similar to lego's "spongey" fabric and less like other custom's starchy materials, and the "leather" pieces, tho I'm not entirely sure what material it is, feels very durable. Overall everything seems like it can withstand some abuse (challenge accepted) -- though I did have 3/6 leather bracer's tear out on me while trying to fit them onto the hand peg.
I really wish I'd bought a brown fur pelt skirt and some leather shoulder armor, but they'll be on my next order.
I would also love to see the fur cuts offered in the other colors, fur pelt skirts with a dagger sheath, and a piratey shoulder sling sword scabbard would be fantastic 😉
