When you leave your boat for a year, you get a lot of maintenance to catch up on. But before I'm starting on that, I wanted to have a world map hanging on the wall
Last year, after kicking off the ski season in Antarctica, I made a wish to end it in the Arctic. So, this April, @captain.xfox , Frank, and I headed to the Lyngen Alps in northern Norway. We decided to try something we had always dreamed ofāSail & Ski. With the help of Captain [email protected] and @kai.girard , our IFMGA mountain guide, we sailed north towards the Arctic Circle, exploring the Lyngen Alps by ski touring.
Despite changing weather and unexpected challenges during our trip, we documented this unique travel style of skiing and left our tracks in the journey to explore the world. Now, letās get you to our adventure in Lyngen Alps.
I've been so lucky to get the opportunity to be a skipper on @sv_manjana for the next 10 months! My flightplan was supposed to be around 40 hours, but ended up to take more than 80 hours because of a delay.
