I got to witness some of the most talented Black DJs play in some of the most incredible venues I’ve ever experienced. The sound systems, the lighting, the selections, everything was intentional. I left feeling deeply inspired.
As a new DJ still finding my footing this meant everything. I wasn’t just watching, I was fully in it, dancing and taking it all in.
The highlight was seeing @ash_lauryn_ and @i.am.amx at Bossa. Their sets spoke to the kind of DJ I’m wanting to become. I walked away energized, happy, and ready to get home to practice.
The crowds were locked in and fully present which was very different from anything I’ve experienced in the Lou. Everyone fully dancing. It felt spiritual. I’m so grateful for this experience and the crew I shared it with. Thank you Dweller. What a gift for Black History Month✨
