On the occasion of International Museum Day, we celebrate the role of collections and cultural institutions in preserving artistic heritage and fostering meaningful engagement with art and culture.
Through exhibitions, archives, research and public dialogue, museums remain spaces where memory, history and creativity continue to evolve.

This initiative was launched by @mohammadrsharaf , who created this badge inspired by the national flower of Kuwait, Al Arfaj, an expression of gratitude and recognition honoring the dedication and service of frontline workers.
・・・
Al-Arfaj flower is the national flower of Kuwait. It blooms in the harshest conditions, symbolizing resilience and the ability to rise under pressure.
It reflects those on the front lines. They protect the nation and continue to give it strength so that, similar to the flower, the country returns stronger.
Al-Arfaj flower badge is an expression of appreciation, honoring the people who sacrifice for our security, safety, and stability.

"Peace Talks”, 1992 by Thuraya Al-Baqsami (b. 1952), captures a moment suspended between tension and hope. Expressed in her signature bold palette and graphic lines, the solitary figure, accompanied by a bird, suggests both introspection and the fragile possibility of dialogue.
Created in the aftermath of the 1990–1991 invasion of Kuwait, the work reflects Al-Baqsami’s deeply personal response to conflict. Her practice, spanning painting and printmaking, often centers on the human figure as a vessel for collective memory, resilience and human experience.
A pioneering voice in Gulf contemporary art, Al-Baqsami continues to shape a visual language that is at once symbolic and immediate, where even in silence, the idea of peace remains present, urgent and necessary.
This Untitled work by Abdul Hay Mosallam Zarara (1928–2020) from CAP Collection embodies a world formed by memory, nurtured by care and defined by unwavering resilience.
In Zarara’s visual language, women often stand at the center, holding stories, preserving identity and carrying the essence of home across generations.
A tribute to all mothers who have lost their children, faced war, displacement and violence, yet continue to protect, nurture and carry their memory forward.
Your courage, resilience and unwavering love are a living testament to the strength of motherhood.
