16U NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
A historic moment for our program.
Capital WAVE becomes the first Ontario women’s team to win a 16U national title — and captures the first national championship banner in club history.
Built through years of commitment, belief, and doing things the right way.
This wasn’t about one player — it was a team.
A complete group, committed to each other, finding ways to win together.
Proud to see that recognized:
• Aline Borowiec — Most Valuable Goalkeeper
• Naomi Jones — Most Valuable Defensive Player
• Coach Gabriel Cooper — Most Valuable Coach
Individual honours earned through team success.
Proud of this group — and even more excited for what’s ahead.

🚨 SUMMER LAKE CAMP 2026 REGISTRATION OPENS TOMORROW 🚨
We’re excited to officially welcome back WAVE alumni Brooklyn Plomp to Summer Lake Camp 2026 as we celebrate the 10th edition of camp this summer ☀️🌊
Brooklyn started her journey with WAVE at just 10 years old and has continued to grow into one of the top young athletes to come through our women’s program. At only 15 years old, she became one of the youngest athletes selected to Canada’s national team programs and has since represented Canada on multiple youth and junior national teams.
Now competing in NCAA Division I at Long Beach State and currently part of the Senior Women’s National Team talent pool, Brooklyn continues to establish herself as one of Canada’s rising stars in the sport.
Her leadership, work ethic, and passion for water polo continue to inspire many of the younger athletes currently coming up through our girls pathway, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to the lake this summer.

A great first National Championships experience for our 16UB Boys this weekend in Surrey, BC 🇨🇦
This group had some great wins, competed hard all weekend, and embraced the opportunity to play against strong teams from across the country. For many of these athletes, it was their first chance experiencing Nationals at this level — and moments like these are a huge part of the development process.
Beyond the results, this team represented WAVE with energy, character, and togetherness all weekend long while creating memories that will stay with them for a long time.
Proud of the way this group continued battling, learning, and supporting each other from start to finish.
Big thank you as well to Coach Michael for leading the group and helping the boys finish the season on a strong note.
Our 16UB Girls wrapped up their first National Championships this weekend in Surrey, BC 🇨🇦
For many of these athletes, this was their very first Nationals experience and an incredible opportunity to compete against some of the top programs from both Eastern and Western Canada.
Despite travelling with a shorter roster — and many athletes still being 14U eligible — this group showed toughness, resilience, and competed hard every single game. More importantly, they built memories, gained experience, and took huge steps in their development both individually and as a team.
These experiences matter. This is how programs grow, how athletes improve, and how future leaders are built.
Proud of this group and everything they represented this weekend. 👏
Big thank you as well to Coach Samantha for leading and supporting this team throughout the event.
Not every journey ends with a medal. Sometimes it ends with growth, lessons, adversity, and a group becoming stronger together.
Our 16U Boys battled all weekend against some of the top teams in the country, pushing Tier 1 opponents to the limit in multiple close games and falling just short in key moments. The margins at this level are razor thin.
Top 6 in Canada 🇨🇦
That is something to be proud of.
What stood out most this weekend wasn’t just the results, but the way this group competed for each other, stayed united, and represented WAVE every single game. The future is bright for this team.
Proud of the athletes, coaches, staff, and families who were part of the journey this season. These experiences shape teams long term.
The work continues 💙🌊
✈️ VANCOUVER BOUND
Our 16U teams are officially on their way to 16U Nationals in Vancouver 🇨🇦
This year, WAVE is traveling across the country with:
🔹 2 girls teams
🔹 2 boys teams
Sending four teams to Nationals is something we’re incredibly proud of as a club and community.
At this point… we figured it was easier to just build our own airline 😅✈️ (swipe left)
“Capital WAVE Airways” is officially in the air.
Beyond the competition, this trip represents years of work from athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families who continue helping grow our program year after year. To see this many athletes representing WAVE on the national stage is something special.
Now it’s time to compete.
Good luck to all of our athletes, coaches, and chaperones traveling to Vancouver this week. Ottawa is cheering for you 🌊🇨🇦
Go WAVE Go.
📍Catch the action live from Vancouver this weekend.

🔴 18U Boys Finish Top 4 in Eastern Canada 🔴
Congratulations to our 18U Boys on a hard-fought 4th place finish at the Eastern National Championships this past weekend.
Competing against some of the top programs in the country, this group battled all weekend long and continued to show the intensity, resilience, and competitiveness that defined their season. While falling just short of the podium, the team proved they belong among the top programs in Eastern Canada and continued to represent WAVE with pride throughout the event.
To have WAVE be the only club in Eastern Canada with all four 16U and 18U boys and girls programs finish inside the Top 4 this season is something we are extremely proud of as a club and coaching staff. It reflects the consistency, culture, and commitment being built across every level of the program.
The work is not done yet. With Nationals just around the corner, the group now shifts its focus toward competing on the national stage and finishing the season strong.
Proud of this group and everything they continue to represent. 🌊

🥉 18U Girls Bring Home Eastern National Bronze 🥉
Congratulations to our 18U Girls on an incredible performance at the Eastern National Championships this past weekend, finishing 3rd in Eastern Canada and bringing home the bronze medal.
After finishing 1st and 2nd respectively across the previous two NCL weekends heading into Eastern Nationals, this group once again proved they belong among the top programs in the country. A hard-fought one goal semifinal loss against eventual champions CAMO / Fraser Valley steered the team away from another championship final appearance, but the response from the group afterward said everything about their character.
These athletes showed toughness, resilience, and commitment all weekend long. They continued to battle, stayed together as a team, and finished the tournament on the podium with a well-earned bronze medal performance. These girls are hungry for Nationals in 2 weeks!
Special congratulations as well to Amitis and Yasmine on earning Eastern National Championship All-Star recognition this weekend.
To have WAVE be the only club in Eastern Canada with all four 16U and 18U boys and girls programs finish inside the Top 4 this season is something we are extremely proud of as a club and coaching staff. It reflects the consistency, culture, and commitment being built across the entire program.
A huge thank you to our coaches, families, volunteers, and supporters for continuing to help create opportunities like this for our athletes.
Congratulations girls! 🌊

What a weekend in Connecticut! 🇺🇸🌊
This past weekend, our WAVE athletes had an incredible opportunity to travel down to Connecticut for a weekend full of high-level competition, team bonding, learning experiences, and plenty of memories both in and out of the pool. From exciting games to fun moments together as a group, this trip was another important step in the development of our athletes and program.
A huge thank you to the New Haven Hydras Water Polo for being such incredible and welcoming hosts throughout the entire trip. Our athletes, coaches, and families truly appreciated the hospitality, kindness, and positive environment you created for everyone involved. We’re excited to continue building this great relationship between our clubs.
Thank you as well to all the organizers, Coach Fraser, Jewelle, Corry and families who helped make this experience possible. These trips are about so much more than just results — they help build culture, friendships, resilience, and unforgettable experiences for our athletes.
Proud of the effort, energy, and sportsmanship our teams showed all weekend long. The future continues to look bright for WAVE. 🌊💙
