What started in March 2022 as a grassroots open mic has grown into a signature live performance series, and this edition brings the full flavor: House Band ReBEARTHed SOL setting the tone, guest musicians sliding into the groove, and an open mic/freestyle cypher ready for vocalists, poets, MCs, instrumentalists, and anyone bold enough to catch the moment. Expect a rich mix of R&B soul, neo-soul, funk, jazz, blues, reggae, and whatever magic the night pulls in. The vibe is warm, electric, and a little speakeasy—an energy inspired by legendary Baltimore spaces like Judah’s Juke Joint and Organic Soul Tuesday Open Mic. Join actor Robert Lee Hardy as he pays homage to August Wilson, performs theatrical monologues, and reimagines classic hip-hop verses as monologues, with live music by Bashi Rose & The Emperor King Bishop, live healing by Damany Vinson, and Baltimore storytelling.
