We hosted a dinner-slash-cooking competition with four up-and-coming chefs, and some of New York’s top food and hospitality insiders as our guests—and judges. With @tequilakomos and designed in partnership with @burntorangehoney , we took over @u.omakase , where chefs Jing Wen Ng (The Modern, Noksu) and Gilberto Argueta (The Modern, Crown Shy, The 86) competed against Vijay Bhardwaj (Dhamaka) and Eric Valdez (Naks), using all the same ingredients. Chefs were given a single prompt—backyard BBQ—and asked to interpret what that means through their own cultural lens.
