The @jfkhyannis preserves and promotes the legacy of President Kennedy, his family, and their deep connection to Cape Cod. They offer four exhibit galleries and rotating special exhibits reflecting on the days JFK spent on Cape Cod; days with his extended family, days as President of the United States in this place that provided time to rest and be reinvigorated by the sea to which he was so constantly drawn.

Join the Cape Cod Maritime Museum for their Annual Rowing Rendezvous on Saturday, May 16, 10 AM-2 PM at Kalmus Beach, 670 Ocean Street, Barnstable, MA.
Celebrate traditional rowing on Cape Cod with boats on the beach, rowing demonstrations, and hands-on opportunities to try a variety of New England–style traditional small boats. Members of the Cape Cod Traditional Small Craft Association will be bringing their own boats—many of them built by the rowers themselves—and making them available for short rows.

Well-known local author Sally Cabot Gunning celebrates colonial women in this anniversary year. A lifelong resident of New England, Sally Cabot Gunning has immersed herself in its history from a young age. She is the author of ten mystery novels and six critically acclaimed historically themed novels: The Widow’s War, Bound, The Rebellion of Jane Clarke, Benjamin Franklin’s Bastard, Monticello: A Daughter and Her Father, and Painting the Light.

Join the Southeastern MA Walking Club & the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for a scenic trek at South Cape Beach State Park.
They will cover approximately 2.5 miles along the Great Flat Pond trail, passing through beautiful salt marshes, forests, and beaches. Meet at the Bayberry Parking lot (569 Great Oak Road, Mashpee) for this flat but narrow hike. Please note that rain cancels the event and there are no restrooms on-site.
