Greenfield Youth Film Festival. We had a program high of 5 major awards in one night. If you are not familiar, this invitational competition hosts over 20 suburban, private and tech school media programs surrounding the Philadelphia area. The Festival is a product of the partnership between the Greenfield Foundation and the Upper Dublin Education Foundation. Students receive certificates, trophies, and gift cards for winning - The festival culminates with a red-carpet style event held at the Upper Dublin Performing Arts Center.
Students won the following awards:
Samara Mazelis: Best Director
Esme Leuner and Samara M. : Best Documentary Film
Esme Leuner: 2nd Place Experimental Film
Amarachi Bigelow: Best Sound Design (Experimental Film)
Nora Dorn: Best Sound FX (Experimental Film)
Several other students, Jack Cassway, Kelly Collet, and Megam Whittkamp had honorable mention nominations in these categories as well.
