Subtec is a low-end equalizer designed around the classic boost-and-attenuate trick. It adds punch, focus, and weight to your bass frequencies without the mud.

I own ToneX, Amplitube, a custom pedalboard, and a bunch of other amp sims. So why am I using a sub-$100 box on my next single?

Cactus is a clipper and saturation plugin.
At first glance, it looks like something you’d discover growing quietly in the African Sahara : rugged, resilient, and built for harsh conditions. Fortunately, for the rest of us, it’s much easier to find: available to download from Canvas Audio.
As @canvas.audio puts it, Cactus delivers analog-style clipping that blends the punch of hardware limiters with the warmth of subtle saturation.
I had the chance to experiment with creating some visual renders for it, exploring that desert-inspired character and tactile, hardware-like feel.
And it doesn’t come alone; Cactus also brings along its small companion, Prickly Clip: a simple, fast, and easy-to-use clipper and saturator designed for quick results without overthinking.

Sharing another guitar pedal GUI I designed for @canvas.audio : Violet Fuzz.
A fuzz effect pedal plugin built to sound filthy & fabulous and I wanted the interface to reflect exactly that attitude.
This design was a lot of fun to work on. The combination of violet and pink helped create a bold, vibrant aesthetic while still keeping the gritty, aggressive character you’d expect from a fuzz pedal. Balancing those elements gave the UI its own unique personality.
Always enjoyable bringing these kinds of creative concepts to life.
