📣Regular script is also known as “uniform script” and “real script”, referring to a typeface of order. Regular script is a regular typeface directly evolved from clerical script. It turned the “silkworm head and wild goose tail” of clerical script into a flat and straight form. 📖 ✏️The word turns from being flat to square and regular. ⌛️Regular script began to bud in the late Han dynasty, gaining momentum in Wei-Jin North and South dynasties and reaching its prime in the Tang dynasty. 🔖Seal Script, also known as Small Seal Script, was the official script mandated by the first Qin emperor after the unification of China in 221 BCE. At the request of the chancellor Li Si, the Qin emperor ordered the standardization of the written language across the newly unified empire. As Chinese characters evolved in their forms, strokes, and structures over time, the pictographic elements became less prominent, reducing ambiguity and difficulty in writing and recognition.✔️🕐 🌟Seal Script is characterized by a symmetrical structure formed with thin, even lines executed with balanced brushwork. This style was commonly used for official inscriptions on stone monuments and other formal documents.
