What a week! The sun is shining in NYC 🗽☀️ and the joy of Bija keeps giving 🎹💕 @cannonmapp and Tracy brought Bija Beat to new friends @venturehousenyc ! They danced the word SHINE 💫 and powered a collective beam of bright in Brooklyn. And hosting the amazing @awakenjennahansen for a Bija dance class then @rachelpmeade @youvoya launch brought Bija magic to even more new friends! Our very own @tonykieraldo was featured in Hudson Magazine and we’ll continue dancing and connecting this May as we recognize @mental.health.awareness_ month @aspeninstitute

This weekend I had the honor and privilege of being present to witness the union of my guys @ej_jamele and @bamitzjay__ What I experienced was sheer joy, and love so present it was almost palpable. I felt so grateful to be in attendance among family and loved ones (with a dashingly handsome and amazing date 😉), and to meet so many incredible new people while celebrating a couple that so clearly fits and balances each other in such a beautiful, dope way. It was not only inspiring for me to be there, but also deeply cathartic. It was the first time during this incredibly tough year and season of life that I got to fully embrace the present and dance the night away, and what better occasion to “let it all out” than celebrating love? It reminded me of what life looks like when things are divinely aligned. The importance of people who truly value and protect you, and what genuine support really feels like. And it was freeing to remember that while my body may be going through a lot, it’s still very capable and I’m only improving. For once, I wasn’t in my head about my condition or defined or bound by anything… I was just leading with high vibrations and the visceral light in the room! It was also incredible to witness two souls declaring their love for each other in front of people who have shaped them, embraced them, and loved them unequivocally. To know there are forces who oppose the merging of two people simply because it doesn’t fit their idea of “traditional, they’d rather subdue, condemn, or reject couples like this. But there’s no way ANYBODY, if they had been there, could’ve said anything other than: “That’s real love right there.” Thank you EJ and Jon, and congratulations on your marriage. My boys are HUSBANDS! May your union be divinely protected and filled with joy, growth, support, patience, understanding, abundance, and everlasting love. Halfway through for the year! 🙌🏾 Last week, I had the blessing of attending one of the most powerful concerts of my life: Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour. The rain poured… and we boogied all through it. It felt like hi-key life was sending me a message: Show up anyway. Even in the storm. Especially in the storm. This journey has tried and tested me in every way, but it’s also revealed the strength I ain’t even know I had, and the love I never expected to receive. Thank you to everyone who’s held me down, lifted me up and helped carry me forward! There’s still more healing to do- but I’m halfway there!
