“An Old Barn, Combloux” & “L’Aiguille Verte And Les Drus Midday Sketch” by Alexis Guenier. For Alexis Guenier, painting is a way of connecting to the world. Reserved by nature and often inclined to keep a certain distance from others, he has found in painting a space to exist and belong as an observer. Through plein air painting and the depiction of moments from his own life, he cultivates a sense of connection—one that reminds him to remain present, to appreciate the natural world around him, and to attend to the beauty that exists even when hidden within the ordinary. "Molotov" and "Natura morta/Variazione sul tema" by Yasmine Elgamal Most of the scenes that appear in Yasmine Elgamal’s paintings take place in her home or in spaces she has inhabited. The walls, the vases, the flowers—everything depicted originates from her own life. Often, she poses for herself in front of a window she has gazed at all day, or a door she has found poetic, holding a vase, a flower, a swallowed rage, or a whisper of serenity. Inspiration emerges in this way from any light, any corner, any person she knows. For her, painting is a deeply personal matter, where she strives to remain genuine both in the choice of subjects and in the underlying concept. Sometimes working from life, sometimes from photographic references she creates herself, she approaches her paintings primarily through direct painting (alla prima), using a limited palette of six colors. "Molotov", Oil on canvas 80x60cm, 2025, 3500,00€ "Natura morta/Variazione sul tema", Oil on canvas, 100x100cm, 2025, 7000,00€ Come to see Yasmine's work in our next group show between 23.-26. "Prelude", Metal tools and objects" and "Background story" by Mafalda Figueiredo. Mafalda Figueiredo approaches painting as a space to project and observe her shifting identity. Through theatrical compositions inspired by performance, dance, and music, she stages symbolic acts and characters that inhabit a threshold between discomfort and acceptance—where transformation takes place. Drawing from dreams and memories, she brings together personal references into settings where past and present coexist, allowing her to observe them from a distance. The figures in her paintings personify emotions that are both deeply personal and universal, raising questions around gender, femininity, and fears shaped by generational and lived trauma. Prelude, 130x140cm Metal tools and objects, 100x80cm Background story, 125x95cm Come to see Mafalda's work in our next group show between 23.-26. "Belly Rub", "Study of a dog I", and "Study of a dog II" by Ken Zerbel Ken Zerbel is an oil painter focused on realistic portraiture, primarily depicting animals and human figures. His work explores quiet, intimate moments that reveal personality and emotion. Through expressive brushwork, he balances accuracy with a sense of movement and vitality. He is particularly drawn to texture and light, using them to create depth and atmosphere. While rooted in observation, his process remains intuitive, allowing mood and character to guide each piece. He aims to capture presence over perfection, creating works that invite connection and emotional engagement between viewer and subject.
