And now the moment weāve all been waiting for š„ ā¦Introducing 2025: Nads face in review
The year of āI didnāt know my face could make that shapeā
Each year I donāt think I can top the previous roll. Iām always so very wrong. Equally horrendous and utterly hilarious, this tradition has become my favorite š

Happiest in the mountains š¤ The season ended back in one our favorite wonderlands. Switzerland was just full of splendor. Somehow the healing touch of the mountains come just at the right time, every time. Our trip around the Matterhorn wasnāt the biggest gains weāve ever had due to an injury but the sweetness of the peaks, lakes, glaciers, flowers and marmots really made me feel whole. I could spend a lifetime frolicking through the expanse that is the Swiss Alps.
I miss feeling small already šļøš„¾#swizerland #matterhorn #optoutside
My dearest Amsterdam, after five years itās time to say one last doei. Leaving has been immensely emotional because to my body and soul, you were not simply a stopover, you were a home.
Thank you for teaching us to slow down, to choose adventure, to prioritize our health, to say yes. Thank you for helping us unlearn workaholic habits that didnāt serve us any longer. Thank you for holding us as we lived deeply through one global pandemic, two restructures, two injuries, one nervous breakdown and seven million mice. Thank you showing us the sweetness of olliebollen, appeltaart, piping hot mint water and gezellig winters.
Thank you for bringing us community. My heart is navigating the depth of love I carry for every single person who wrapped us in their arms throughout the journey. You were our roots. You were our branches. You helped us grow. We are changed because of you and we love you more than you know.
But as the Buddha writes, when the student is ready the teacher appears. And this last year life showed us that itās time. Time to begin again.

From the Scottish Isles to the North Sea. The Faroe Islands have been on our list for a very long time and they šš¼ DE šš¼ LI šš¼ VERED. Itās not an easy journey here but the sheer amount of solitude you could find upon arrival (except for the sheep) felt unreal. Humans were sparse and the landscape took center stage. The Faroese are a case study in respecting nature, living amongst the animals and only taking what you need. Leave no trace in the most adaptive way. What a dream complete šļøš«š“ #faroeislands
One week getting our sea legs in the Adriatic. Slow days, quiet towns, cold plunges, Baltic fare, belly laughs and core memories. What an absolute treat of a trip šš· š²šŖ rest assured weāll be back for those mountains soon

The duality of Morocco is something Iāll never forget. The intensity of the cities mixed with the oases behind closed doors. The loudness of motorcycles, buses, accidents and shopkeepers yelling mixed with the unifying prayer calls five times a day. The richness of the Berber culture with the simplicity of their mountain rhythms. The bright village colorscapes mixed with the soft desertscapes.
Morocco is a true celebration and juxtaposition of textures. Everywhere you choose to look. A country that embodies a Gemini spirit on overdrive. It wasnāt easy to get on board but once you got into the flow, itās certainly an adventure of a lifetime. š²š¦

There are infinite small moments within the big moments. And there is space for it all in the container of our being. A cliff might be jagged and rough but the edge may be lined with flowers soft at our feet. Big life events might be stressful but the support from our community fill our hearts. News flows in and out of our lives but the soft morning light with a slow cup of coffee stays the same. Healing - in whatever form - might take more time than expected but what a gift it is to observe the minutiae when we finally slow down.
Oh there are so many little moments that called to me to stop, smile, breathe and be in 2024. The love and frustration. The hard and easy. The break and healing. The fear and courage. Though they are opposite, they are not mutually exclusive. They just sit in different layers of our experience.
So hereās to belly laughs even when your heart aches. Hereās to following your passion even when it is vulnerable. Hereās to choosing quiet mornings when it means a little less sleep. Hereās to loving yourself even when that top pant button doesnāt close anymore. Hereās to finding glimmers even when you think youāve lost your own. Thatās what 2024 taught me and thatās what Iām taking into this new year.

Nads in 2024: a haiku
My brain said be cool
My face said we can do this
We did not do it
To all those impacted Iām sorry and youāre welcome

We often describe a vinyasa practice as a moving meditation. For me, I find the mountains have the same effect. Hiking is something that has really challenged me, and at times, exposed me. It is an experience that has become quite intimate and tender.
The hours in the wild bring up things Iāve been carrying deep within. With nothing to distract me, I must walk with it. In a sense, much like my yoga practice, being in nature is a reminder of who I am at my core. A connection rooted in the earth herself.
I have never felt more awake in my being than in Norway. Itās one of the only places where I have felt completely connected while simultaneously being completely disconnected. Every time I return it offers a new adventure and a different learning.
From rest to adventure, Iām so excited to share the retreat Iāve been weaving together for years. šļøš§š»āāļøāØ
Nestled among towering fjords and lush forests, come reconnect with nature with me through a blend of yoga, hiking, kayaking, and outdoor activities. Through the various forms of movement, this retreat is a connection to our roots and a devotion to Pachamama herself. We will take only what is needed and we will leave no trace.

⨠R E S T ⨠What does it look like, exactly?
Is it movement?
Is it sleep?
Is it a deep breath? Perhaps silence?
Or simply saying ānot today?ā
Sometimes it isnāt until we are given the permission to pause that we understand what we need. And when we arrive there, we simply asked to listen. Nestled in the Tuscan countryside, we retreated. The outside world fell away for just a moment and we were left with the in-between: serene sunrises, family meals, local delicacies, deep conversations and the practice. We laughed, cried, sweat, made ravioli into wontons, celebrated birthdaysā¦and bonded with our group emotional support dog Timo š¾
As the residue from this last retreat starts to permanently imprint on my being, Iāve learned the definitions of rest are infinite. What I have worked hard to protect in my own self is a very different experience for someone else. Witnessing those journeys were equally fulfilling as they were challenging - and there is space for it all.
I say at the beginning of each retreat that āthis time is for you.ā There are no mandates, only opportunities. Embracing the Italian mantra āpiano piano,ā we moved slowly and gently back to ourselves. Thank you to the beautiful students who trusted me with their experience, our tremendous hosts @cugnanello and my incredible PIC @packattack26 for creating another core memory.
