The Canadian Disc Golf Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on November 26th at 8:00 PM EST (7:00 PM CST, 6:00 PM MST, 5:00 PM PST, 9:00 PM AST, and 9:30 PM NST). Calling all Canadian FP40 & MP50 eligible disc golfers; we want YOU to apply to represent Canada at the 2026 World Team Disc Golf Championships in Vilnius, Lithuania. The Championships take place September 9-12th, 2026. The @worldflyingdisc have announced a Masters expansion for next year's WTDGC in Lithuania and we'd love to hear from you. Our initial team application was a huge success and enabled us to select our MPO, FPO & MP40 representatives. With the new expansion, we now have FP40 (2) and MP50 (1) spots available on the team for Canadians hoping to represent their country and bring home a World Team Championship! We are asking all female disc golfers over 40, and males over 50 who are interested in joining the National team to submit an application through the link in our profile (and on our site under "events") before the deadline on November 30th at 11:59pm EST. Representatives will be selected based on the National Team Selection Policy which is available on our site. The full Canadian team roster will be announced once our final positions are finalized. 🍁

We're going to double-down on the excitement of our Grande Prairie 2026 announcement and also share that Luc Richard & his team in Dieppe, New Brunswick will host the 2027 Canadian National Disc Golf Championships. The Dieppe organizing team hit the ground running this year, impressing many with their A-tier offering the "Dieppe Open". The team is well-seasoned when it comes to hosting Nationals; with many of its members playing integral roles in our PEI National Championships. With funding and support partnerships already firmly established and a proven track record, Canadians will not want to miss their chance to compete in New Brunswick's first opportunity to host "Nationals". We received 4 fantastic bids to host in 2027, with communities from each Coast vying for the honour. The Canadian Disc Golf Association has moved to a 2-year cycle for Nationals hosting applications to facilitate a preparation period more conducive to current funding and grant cycles for our local organizing committees. Players will be competing on the following courses in Dieppe: - Dieppe DGC - RHS Riverview DGC - Memramcook DGC - Parcours Cormier Village DGC Thank you to all of our applicant communities; it's a phenomenal time to be a Canadian Disc Golfers with some many great options, volunteers and clubs across Canada vying to share their communities and courses with us.

Drumroll please…. And the winner is… Dylan Breasey, Greg Hearn & their team in Grande Prairie, Alberta will host the 2026 Canadian National Disc Golf Championships! We were thrilled to receive 5 excellent bids to host in 2026, three of which were from Alberta alone. Dylan and his team submitted an impressive framework that promises for a top-tier disc golf experience complete with plenty of auxiliary social events and even the northern lights… if we’re lucky. Players will be competing on the following courses: - South Bear DGC - Evergreen DGC - Thrill Hill DGC Stay tuned as we’re also going to announce your 2027 hosts shortly as well…
