I locked myself in the house and have been knee deep in edits for days. I turned in the manuscript this morning.
I looked at my DMs. It’s 50-11 of them in there. I’m not reading them things. We just gon start over. If it was important, you had better text me. And give me til Wednesday cause I’m still tired. LOLOL

My Spring/Summer project is cataloguing all my books. I created 12 main categories, 72 subcategories and 6 shelf groupings. The printed tab has all that information and I’m keeping the database in Libhub.
Books written by Black women and my mother’s books are their own categories. I’m going to get a small bookshelf for Mama’s books and make it a special space. Books written by Black women will be shelved together, too.

My mama told me the two most important cards I’ll ever have with my name on them are a voters registration card and a library card. I have both and I’ve voted in every election since I was eligible.
If our vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be fighting this hard to take it away from us.
I typically don’t leave my house on Mother’s Day anymore.
I streamed service this morning and told my homegirl that I’ll probably start going back to church on Mother’s Day next year. And Charlie’s dad got me a ticket to see TDWP2 so I wouldn’t be in the house all day.

…you ever, as an adult with a little more lived experience, think about all your grandparents undoubtedly had to contend with to keep your family unit together? Black love has to contend with so much. They spent a half a century together before God called my Grandaddy home. What a blessing.

I don’t have any heavy cream to make some vanilla ice cream. But I have some butter pecan I made a few weeks ago. I guess I’ll eat it with that.
