Happy 1st birthday to the girl I love the most đđđĽšWords canât describe how much of joy you have brought into our lives. I love you so much my princess đđĽšâĽď¸
Do you relate to any of these mistakes below?
1. Over exfoliating- I believed that if I exfoliate often it would quickly remove dead skin cells, improve my skin texture and clear my acne. Unfortunately this resulted in a compromised skin barrier and irritated skin.
2. Applying products all at once - I applied a product straight after the other and didnât see much improvement on my skin and felt as if products werenât working. You need to give time to each product after applying it to allow the product to work on your skin. If you are applying one product straight after the other, you might as well just mix all of them in your hand and apply to your face. Iâm joking donât do that!!!
3. Changing products too soon - when I use a product I expect immediate results. Products need time to work. Changing skincare often can delay progress. The amount Iâve spent on skincare is embarrassing!
4. Not patch testing - using a product especially some active ingredients without patch testing has led to me damaging my skin barrier. Patch test products before using to see if they are suitable for you.
5. Over using products - over applying a product frequently doesnât lead to fast results. If a products says once or twice a week, stick to instructions! I learnt this the hard way with over applying retinol.
6. Using oil stripping products- I have oily skin and using harsh oil stripping products didnât help with my oily skin but led to dehydrated skin. Always opt for gentle cleansers
Because Iâm a girls girl let me plug you on my latest edition that has become a favourite! The Rimmel London Multi Tasker Better Than Fliters is magic in a bottle. Itâs a 3-in-1 product that works as a primer, highlighter and glow booster. I love wearing it on its own as a glow booster and to be honest itâs the only product I reach out for lately in my makeup bag because of how it has simplified my makeup routineâ¨

Just trust me you will be fine!!! This is coming from someone who has had acne for more than 15 years. Iâve been on Oratane/Accutane twice and tried so many products but nothing seemed to work. When it comes to skin, itâs not a one size fits all. I hope you find what works for you! đ¤â¨
This time return to yourself. Return to things you love that set your soul on fire and make you feel whole again. Return to who you were before the world told you who you should be đ
