Men aren't talking about this enough, and i think we should.
this is a representation of a man that doesn't know how to process that they've been sexually assaulted. Caught in the balancing act of feeling too ashamed and scared to admit it to themselves so they choose to stay alone and do things that make them feel safe in denial, contrasting with the idea of how they really feel and who they really wished they could be.
It really is true that sometimes we bury our darkest experiences. Sexual violence can make us prisoners of own minds. This is someone breaking free, in a way that i hope can connect and help others.
