The X100VI eats in places like this.
Photographing the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand with my favorite travel camera- the Fujifilm X100VI.

Everyone’s saying Canon’s lineup is confusing now with the R6 V. I think it’s the opposite. This is the cleanest product line they’ve had.
R6 Mark III for hybrid shooters.
R6 V for video-first creators.
C50 for cinema.
R50 V for entry level/creator centric.
And the R6 V is basically a mini C50 with IBIS for less than an R63. 😳🔥
Filming this from Thailand. Real breakdown soon!

Studio dog photography day with my pups, Wrigley and Oakley 🐶
Took some creative thinking to get the angle just right on the frisbee catch, but I think we nailed it! Our reaction says it all 😆
High key portraits, single strobe key light, and about twenty flashes in a second to catch the big action shot at the end.
These were shot with the @canonusa R5 and lit with the @profoto D2 in a @parabolixlight modifier.
BTS footage with the @dji OSMO 360 and OSMO Pocket 3

📸 New photographers have questions. I have answers.
If you are wondering why your expensive gear isn’t making your images better, or why you should always shoot in RAW. This rapid fire might help.

⚠️ There’s a tell most photographers miss.
When you turn the camera around and show your client the shot, they’re not looking at the lighting and contrast ratios like you are.
They’re looking at themselves. And nine times out of ten, they’ll subconsciously touch the part of themselves they feel most insecure about in the shot.
It doesn’t even mean they don’t love the shot. They might adore it, but still see something in themselves that no one else would see.
A piece of hair. A wrinkle on their shirt. The collar. A button. They might not even know they’re doing it. But they’re gonna do it.
That’s your cue.
Don’t ask them what’s wrong. Just go fix it (if it can be fixed).
Suddenly you’re not a photographer anymore. You’re the person who saw something they couldn’t even put into words.
Pay attention to your client, not just the shot.

Turning your photography into a business means finding your specialty AND making sure your ideal clients know the value that comes from it.
Shooting everything is fun as a hobby, especially as a beginner, but it rarely turns into actual profit.
Not all forms of photography are equal. Find a niche that solves a big problem and get laser focused on it. 🔥

Why are you winging it every time a client gets in front of your lens?
I’m a systems photographer. Always have been.
12 years ago I was shooting in a parking garage with natural light, and even then I had a system. Same locations, same times of day, same backdrops for the same kinds of looks.
Repeatable result, every time.
That’s how I grew my studio. Not by being more artistic than anyone else, but by building a recipe I trusted, so my clients could trust it too.
Photography is an art form, sure. But if you’re running a business, you need predictability.

Shutter speed does more than just brighten your photos.
Let’s break down why your shutter speed might be the culprit for shots that aren’t sharp and how to fix it!
Here’s the take away: Use the 1/focal length rule. If you are shooting with an 85mm then you should be 1/80 or FASTER (ideally double).
