Just finished a 5 day trek through the rugged mountains of Patagonia. I knew this place was going to be beautiful, but what nature had sculpted in this sacred realm was beyond my wildest dreams. Camp Celestial Alchemy Burning Man 2025! This year our camp put on a fairytale four course meal where we dressed up as our favorite fairytale characters and served around 150 guests a delicious four course meal paired with different cocktails. I was the mad hatter and had an absolute blast playing the part. Much gratitude to our incredible crew of friends making the burn the experience that it is. It’s the community that keeps me coming back. Always amazing to see what we can accomplish working towards a common vision. Until next year! #burningman
The longest day of the year sure felt like the longest day of the year! Took a good tumble in Norway on the summer solstice and broke my back. Failed a no wind launch and dove right into a ledge, causing me to tumble about 50 meters down the mountain. Fractured my t7 vertebrae and got pretty banged up. Fortunate to be alive and walking all things considered!
The first photo was taken at 11pm as I was enjoying a wild ketamine ride under a helicopter over the beautiful fjords of Norway. Special thanks to all my friends who were the first responders during this ordeal getting my ass to the hospital in a timely manner. Shoutout to the incredible Norwegian healthcare system, quick heli support, and good insurance 🙏
Quick incident report. The wing was an 8m R3 launching with no wind at around 10pm. Before launching, you can hear me say in the video “it’s not great, but it’s what we’ve got.” The launch was flat uneven ground that quickly dropped off with a ledge that had to be cleared. While running on the upper section I slightly stalled the wing as I was trying to move quickly over uneven terrain. At the last second the wing surged forward killing most of the energy in the wing. I torpedoed into the surge committing to the launch but lost too much of the energy in the wing to clear the ledge. I wasn’t super current as it had been a couple months since I had last flown. I’ve always understood the consequences of these sports and now it’s time for me to live with them for a couple months after one silly mistake. Very grateful to be alive and walking all things considered! Fly safe friends
