Yesterday I abruptly lost one of my best friends in the world.
Those who knew him best saw an energetic ball of fur who was loving and caring and knew when you were in a low. He was also courteous enough to pee down the drain. At times he was a devilish trickster and an escape artist. To those that watched him, I'm sorry he inevitably escaped and caused you to panic.
He always came back though. He was a vagabond with a free spirit and a Soul Rebel. He would turn non-cat people into cat-people and could bring a smile to anyone's face. If he wasn't begging for your food he would provide comfort and warmth.
When I met him almost 6 years ago, he was the best wingman any guy could ask for and introduced me to person I care for most in this world. Although at times you could be a pain in the ass, you made up for it with your grace and nobility.
He shared his life with me and I with his. We shared family and friends and all I could ask is for him is to rest easy now.
