Thanks to a friend who found this bike out in the wild. It’s hard to describe how it feels to see this, a reminder of a time that feels so disconnected from today. The site is still up and people still visit it. Really proud of how our downtown community came together during COVID. #HamOnt
Spending some quality March Break time with my sister and nieces in Essex County. Really proud of my sister for being a story time hero at her local bookstore. 📚 💞
I’ll be ringing in the new year in relative peace and quiet in the middle of the wintery woods. 2025 was hard for so many people I know. I’m hopeful 2026 will be better and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone back in #HamOnt next week. There’s work to do. ❄️ 🤍

On September 1st, 2024, we held our very first Kidical Mass Ride at Pier 8. This year, we’re coming back to the North End — this time to Bayfront Park!
It’s our 3rd ride in the North End, but somehow it always feels like the first time. 💚
🚲 See you this Saturday at 10 AM!

Ward 2 October Update by Cameron Kroetsch
🍂 Fall marks the start of budget season. Councillor Kroetsch is participating in budget processes for the City, Police, Library, and Farmers’ Market. The City is projecting an 8.9% increase, and police are proposing a 9.48% increase — both still subject to review.
A budget town hall is set for November 27, details coming next issue.
The demolition of Jamesville has begun. The loss of mature trees is a concern, but new policies are in place to help prevent this in future projects 🌳.

Did you know Bill 33 could effectively eliminate school board trustees?
Let’s talk about what that would mean for you.
It means parents and community members would lose their voice at the board table. Decisions about your child's education would be made without the input of democratically elected representatives. Bill 33 would shift decision making to a centralized, business-style model rather than one rooted in community needs.
Trustees are elected to represent the communities they live in. We bring forward concerns from families, advocate for students, and ensure community voices shape our schools and policies. Without trustees, that accountability disappears.
If you believe parents and communities deserve a say in public education, now is the time to speak up! Share this post and join us for a town hall on Oct 8th at Hamilton Central Library. We want to hear your voices!
🚨 Townhall on Bill 33 🚨
Join us on October 8th at Central Library in Hamilton for an important community conversation about Bill 33 and what it could mean for the future of our schools.
We’ll be talking about:
- What Bill 33 is and how it’ll impact public education
- The potential elimination of school board trustees
- How we got here
- What we can do together
Everyone is welcome.

Had a pretty amazing end to my vacation last night at the Nine Inch Nails concert in Toronto. I’ve been a fan for 30 years and last night’s show was one of the best.
Had a great time with friends in Port Dalhousie yesterday. Even got a chance to hit up Lakeside Park and ride on the free carousel, something I’ve probably done every summer for more than 40 years. Good memories.
