I’ve been skating for so long! This is a collection of footage from every year since I started my journey aggressive skating. Before all this I was 12 years old putting on my first pair of ice hockey skates. Little did I know it would take me on a journey of self discovery all around the world, meeting so many wonder humans along the way! What a great time to be HUMAN! Today PRE-SALE starts on my first ever signature skate from @factionskatecompany . I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work I’ve done to receive such an incredible honor. Thank you all so much for the support throughout the years. I’ve had such an incredible time on these skates and I’m looking forward to many more!

2000 I was a senior in high school and I just qualified to the ASA Pro circuit. 24 years ago and without knowing skating was going to be the catalyst to the rest of my life. It was going to be the one that taught me hard lessons about pushing fear and accepting failure as part of the process. It showed me how powerful community is and the influence we have to others and from others. It taught me about risk and reward and when to hold and when to fold. 2024 my first pro model skate is going to be released! The last year of development has felt like days compared to the decades of dedication I’ve put into skating. I didn’t ever think the day would come that I would have this opportunity. I am so grateful for the support @factionskatecompany has given me being able to continue to travel and skate around the world. This skate is full circle for me. It encompasses everything I have taken from skating and the reason I started doing it in the first place. The freedom of self expression and the NOW moment coexist when you put your feet into these skates. To the many more years on skates. I salute you all! “These things make us superheroes!!!” -Carl Hills RIP

2002 and my “made up” brother Don Bambrick is visiting Utah and we’re filming for our split part for ESPY made by my friend @rogeremmer . We took Don to the University of Utah to skate and of course we ran into the campus police. Not before Don laced up these two full cabs down it!!

2002 and I’m pretty new to this being a “professional” skater thing. I remember my Mom taking me to get a haircut and she asked the woman if she could cut my hair like a professional skater. I’m also a very sensitive being and was pretty known for being “soft”. Hence the nickname “Killa Cam” that was given to me by a peer of mine. He said “You’re too soft, we need to make you harder.” It seemed the trend back then was to poke at each other and push each other’s buttons. People were louder about that than actually celebrating the people around them. I remember when people would get loud for another skater, it seemed uncomfortable for me. Like it wasn’t “normal” to celebrate yourself or anyone else. You don’t want to ruin the clip!! Nowadays I make sure to let people know I saw them and I was impressed. For me it’s all about personal progression and growth. This said person may have done this said trick on this said spot, but I didn’t! Let me, do me!

2001 vs 2010 American Fork Twin Labs. Not only does street skating come with battling the obstacles and the tricks, but also the people trying to kick you off. Sometimes it takes multiple visits on different days and lots of failed attempts just to get a few second clip!

2004 I’m on tour skating with some of the best skaters at the time. Dustin and I were like polar opposites, me a quiet kid from Utah and Dustin loud proud from NY. WHO DID IT BETTER?!?

While going through old footage, I got to see how awesome of a Mom I have and how grateful I am to have her in my life! Here is a quick little video of my Mom that I made from a bunch of old home footage. Love you Mom!!

2004 and we’re on the tour that never ended. We only planned to go to Seattle for the Barn Burner and the Seattle Street contest. We ended up driving to Idaho and staying at the owners house of a skate shop/skatepark, then extended it even more after finding out we could make it to the Mile High Battle (still happening annually), and then Texas for Hoe Down! 😱 When I told my parents I was going to California it was for a weekend trip to get some photos and videos that ended up me being gone for over a month. It was great to be around such quality skaters, and also people that supported my skating!
