It was a great year, filled with a lot of baseball, and sports in general. Got to meet and work with a lot of cool people. Enjoyed my first internship with the @rocredwings and spent almost every hour I could at, and on top of, the ball park.
Looking forward to what 2026 brings!
First time shooting film!!! I had a lot of fun carrying around an old Nikon N90 to two of the @rocredwings games against the @buffalobisons . I shot two rolls of colored Koak film, but sadly lost most of the second roll :( but I still got some good shots from what survived off the second one, including a nice one of Blue Jay's pitcher Trey Yesavage.
Back in September I completed my first photojournalism story 'The American Family Man.' Michael Stroger, a hockey player, fire fighter, leader, husband, father. A man of many traits and talents Michael works at the Ridge Road Fire District in Greece New York. As a co-contributor to the house, when Michael isn’t on call at the fire station, he’s a stay-at-home father to his two daughters, Charlotte, and Ellia. During his free time, Michael is an active community leader who enjoys playing sports, and spending time with friend.
On March 28th and 29th @roccityninja hosted their March competition, featuring a 12 obstacle long flow course. The gym invited ninjas from the upstate N.Y. area to compete for a chance at the podium, and a chance to qualify for regional.
The 2026 Battle of the Bureaus is hosted at the Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester on April 4, 2026. The annual face off between the Monroe County and Rochester City Fire Stations saw the City Stations walk away with their first win of the series, taking the game by a decisive 6-2.
The @rocredwings host the @swbrailriders for their home opening week of the 2026 season. After a rained out opening day on Tuesday, the Wings took home a win on their makenup opening day, 5-4. The Wings took the first two games in commanding fassion, but came up short the rest of the series, going 2-5, starting their season with a record of 4-6.
On Mar. 28, 2026, residents of Rochester and the surrounding towns gathered at the Genesee Gateway Park in Rochester N.Y. to join in the nation wide No King's Day Protest. The protest drew thousands of upstate N.Y. residents as they gathered for and marched in opposition to the current U.S. presidential administration and the actions the presidency is taking. This was the third No King's Day Portest, first of 2026, organized during the 47th President's second term.
On Mar. 2, 2026, the number 1 seed Pittsford Boys Ice Hockey hosted the number 2 seed Hilton Boys Ice Hockey in the Section V Class A Championship game at the Gene Polissini Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester N.Y.. Pittsford would open the game up with a goal in the first minute, but Hilton fought back and took down the defending champions, 5-2, crowning the Hilton Cadets Section V Ice Hockey champions for the first time ever in team history
On Feb. 28, 2026, I gathered a small group of photographers to cover the 2026 Winter Classic at the Tim Hortons Iceplex in Henrietta N.Y..
It was great getting to bring along @bwlambrecht@gracet.photos and @not_tony1 to cover the return of the Winter Classic. After photographing this event for the first time my freshman year I've been bringing along other RIT students to cover the @mcfirehockey charity games. All three of them did a great job and I'm really thankful for their involvement. Here are some of the best photos from all of us.

On Feb. 28, 2026, Michael Stoerger and the Monroe County Fire Hockey team hosted the Monroe County Town Police in the return of the Winter Classic at the Tim Hortons Iceplex in Henrietta N.Y.. The Winter Classic is a fundraiser ice hockey game that benefits the Breast Cancer Coalition and raised over 25K in it's return after a one year hiatus. The Monroe County Fire Hockey dominated the game, taking an 11-7 win over the Monroe County Town Police
The @nazareth_hockey Golden Flyers host the Manhattanville University Valiant's on Sunday December 7, 2025 at the Tim Horton's Ice Plex in Rochester N.Y.. The Golden Flyers would go on to defeat the Valiant's 4-1.
RIT Wrestling hosts the 58th RIT Invitational at the Gordon Field House at RIT on Saturday Dec. 6, 2025. RIT would place second out of 14 teams, while taking first in the 285lb and 133lb divisions.
First time shooting wrestling! Honestly, enjoyed it and definitely am interested in doing more!
